Conor McGregor next fight rumors: Carlos Condit, Robbie Lawler hail 'The Notorious'

Carlos Condit and Robbie Lawler got it on at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 195, with the latter eking out a split decision win where many felt that Condit did more than the UFC welterweight champion at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas last Saturday.

That match was, of course, shrouded with a cloud of controversy to which Lawler went as far as to offer Condit a rematch if he wants one. Condit was, apparently, frustrated with the results and has pondered retirement.

Now, before all that, the two were in a better mood and discussed some other things surrounding the UFC. Like most, they were asked for their opinion about the brash-talking Conor McGregor.

Unlike McGregor, Condit and Lawler preferred to do their jabs inside the Octagon. They are not as talkative as 'The Notorious,' although there is no question that they are aware of what McGregor has done for the sport.

In all, both are one in saying that McGregor has brought a whole lot of attention and McGregor's rants have become a good promotional tool, as reported by Fox Sports. And the best part of it all is that McGregor knows how to sell it and back it up once he enters the Octagon.

He proved that at UFC 194 when he made short work of Jose Aldo, someone he finished off in just 13-seconds, as reported by MMA Junkie.

Lawler believes that McGregor has technically brought an island with him, changing the whole UFC landscape, thus bringing lots of things on the table.

With that said, McGregor's super run seems to have been overshadowing the performance of other stars, although Condit and Lawler seem to be unfazed by it.

Both are aware that whatever they are able to churn out when they are called upon to fight will eventually bear fruit. It is just that right now, Conor McGregor is the UFC star of the moment.
