Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors 2016: Team players vouch for Markieff Morris

The National Basketball Association (NBA) trade deadline is still a month away, so right now any player could end up being shipped somewhere.

Skimming through the list of players that could be in the headlines of big trade deals is none other than Markieff Morris. Hearing about Morris in trade talks is nothing new but possible interest from the Cleveland Cavaliers could be.

Actually check that, it is not solely the management but the players as well who seem to be open to the idea since the addition of Morris will beef up their frontline all the more.

The Cavs already have Kevin Love, of course, but Morris could be an added insurance just in case Love is bit by the injury bug. Other than that, he could provide added defensive presence for the Cavs, something that LeBron James has time and again pointed out as lacking.

Morris hasn't exactly had a fine season, particularly if one compares it to last season. A lot of that is seen as a result of his displeasure with the Phoenix Suns which dates all the way back to the offseason when his brother Marcus got traded to the Detroit Pistons.

But would Morris be a fit to the system of head coach David Blatt? Such is a question that needs to be addressed.

The Cavs are already overflowing with talent and everyone knows the chemistry issue that could set forth with the addition of another rising star in the mix.

But all that could depend on how Blatt and the coaching staff handle the situation, so adding Morris could be feasible.

Do the Cavs have the money to spend on Morris?

The Cavs do have a $10.5 million trade exception which could be used. With Morris promised only $8 million annually, it seems like a match.

Will it take place? Morris would likely be keen on the idea, especially since it could end up beneficial to him as he joins a club favored to possibly win the NBA title this year.
