Christian singer Carman is living proof that 'God has a plan to surprise us'

Christian singer Carman hit a rough patch in his life and career several years ago when his career took a nosedive and he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

"I was off the road for 14 years. No record company interested in me recording music again and the concert ministry had long since passed. Then I got a diagnosis of incurable cancer and it looked to me like it was all over. Time to close up shop and prepare for eternity," he shared on his Facebook page.

When it seemed like Carman had lost everything, God decided to surprise him. He was introduced to an online fundraising campaign called Kickstarter and people pooled their resources to help boost the singer's career, which in turn encouraged Carman to get better.

"God was faithful to me to help restore the ministry through a fundraiser I never even heard of before. Next thing I knew I was making music and getting healed," said Carman.

Now the singer is "strong and cancer free," and he is enjoying a fruitful revival of his career. Carman is going to start another Kickstarter campaign on May 1 to be able to go on a new album world tour called "The History of Worship Pt. 1."

Carman said that his experience only proves that God always has a plan to surprise people and jolt their faith. When everything feels hopeless and it seems like nothing else can be done, God has a way of turning things around and strengthening people's faith in him, he added.

"God can turn anything around," he assured his fans. "He can keep you through the worse of times. Restore the years the locusts have eaten away. Give you peace and confidence when everyone else is losing their minds. I've been through it. I know."
