The squad will try to prevent a nationwide catastrophe from happening in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Chicago PD."

In "Forget My Name," Cartermatt reports that the murder of a government official will raise the alarm about a possible breach of national security. When a reliable informant tipped Antonio (Jon Seda) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) of an impending drug trade, the team will set out to apprehend the criminals. But the investigation will take a turn for the worse when a mutilated body is found in the rendezvous point.

To secure the victim's identity, Olinksy (Elias Koteas), Ruzek (Patrick Flueger), Lindsay (Sophia Bush), and Halstead begin to process the crime scene. They will learn that the man is doing important work for the government. Further inquiry to his friends reveals that the victim has access to some "very important devices." While it is still unclear what the official has been guarding, it becomes apparent that the man's death may lead to a national threat. Will the team manage to solve the case before it becomes too late?

Last episode, a disturbed teen went missing and his mother feared he would hurt his school mates. The kid had a .22 caliber gun with him. The Chicago Police Department (PD) was tapped to find him before he could hurt anyone. But when they did manage to locate him, he was already dead with a gunshot wound in the head and it looked like suicide. Inside the bag beside him was a bomb, but it was contained immediately by the authorities.

The team was looking for his friend, whose initials were written in his journal. The two appeared to be in cahoots together. When they did find the teen, he was being beaten by his schoolmates. Ethan (Elijah Marcano) was part of the swimming team, but he quit months ago. It was clear he was as messed up as the other boy. Later, he vandalized his coach's car by writing the word "pedophile" all over it. It turned out the two were victims of the coach for years, and they were planning to kill him.

Further investigation revealed that the boy's death was not self-inflected. The coach hired a hitman to silence him, knowing the teen was close to revealing his sordid secret.

"Chicago PD" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
