A gorgeous agent will make Severide's (Taylor Kinney) heart go aflutter in the upcoming episode of the hit NBC series "Chicago Fire."

In "Not Everyone Makes It," CarterMatt reports that the lieutenant will team up with Agent Alex Ward (guest star Liza Bennett) in a new case involving home-produced explosives. While not exactly a ladies man, Severide has a keen eye for beauty and Ward fits the bill. While trying to solve the case, the pair will be working closely with one another. Will romance bloom once Severide makes his interest known? As for Ward, could Severide be the man she has been looking for?

Meanwhile, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) will have a very difficult decision to make. The time has come for him to testify against Freddie (guest star Ralph Rodriguez), the man who stabbed him during the midseason finale. As previously reported, the firefighter still has not moved on from the harrowing experience. His depression has been steadily growing and the last thing he needs is to face Freddie's pitiful father. The old man is asking Herrmann to forgive his son and not to testify. Will Herrmann let his compassion get the better of him?

Also in episode 12, Casey (Jesse Spencer) will be dealing with the fallout of the recent tornado that hit Chicago. Upon inspection, he realized that the temporary shelters for the victims are falling apart. Alderman (guest star Armand Schultz) will suggest that Casey attend a fundraiser. But when he arrived at the end, the lieutenant will find himself the center of attention, the last thing he wants to happen.

Elsewhere, Chili (Dora Madison) is furious that Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) ratted her out to Boden (Eamonn Walker). Brett was disappointed with her recent performance in an emergency they were working together. Chili's unreliability is proving to be a pain for the other paramedics. Brett thought it was time Boden learn about her behavior. Unfortunately for the whistleblowers, their action will come back to haunt them.

"Chicago P.D." season 3 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
