Chicago Bulls rumors 2016: Jimmy Butler knew Tom Thibodeau would be fired

It wasn't too long ago that Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler said that first year head coach Fred Hoiberg may be handling the Bulls a wee bit too easy. And with that in mind, wasn't this one reason why former head coach Tom Thibodeau got fired?

Thibdoeau was hit for being too intense that the players may have gone as far as misinterpreting him and his coaching style. But despite all that, it seems to show that the Bulls had a better team than where they are now.

Of course, Hoiberg is just in his first year with the team and that alone should be a point for consideration. And if that is the case, there is a chance that he can still become a fiery coach which Butler seems to be looking for.

Whatever the case, Butler needs to deal with the fact that he is under a new coach. Ideally, coaches have varying styles and personalities and surely Hoiberg is one such example.

As far as the Bulls are concerned, it is up for debate on who is a better coach. Hoiberg hasn't exactly panned up to what Thibodeau was able to bring but management is likely to give him more time before they do the proper evaluation on whether he is the right man for the job or not.

Cutting it short, it is unlikely that Hoiberg will get booted out right in his first year.

Butler, on the other hand, needs to take it up to another level, a reason why he was given that big fat bonus. A lot is expected from him but he has to adjust to what Hoiberg expects him to do.

Speaking out is good as long as he is ready to accept criticism himself, particularly the remarks he made when Thibodeau was on his way out.
