Chicago Bulls news: Derrick Rose's vision issues add to shooting woes

Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls isn't exactly shooting blanks but his averages have gone to an all-time low.

Everyone knows that a lot of that is because of his double vision issues, which were diagnosed to hamper him for the next couple of months. And hopefully by that time, he gets his guns backs and takes aim the way he would have before that orbital fracture happened.

Rose is only averaging 40.7% on field goal shooting inside the paint, having difficulty finishing atop the ring. Even up close, Rose admits he is having difficulty due to his vision, making it more difficult for him to get into the groove and get his old form back after being out for quite some time.

Considering he is having problems up and close, one can just imagine how he can see from outside the paint. For some games, Rose was seen taking shots that don't even come close to the ring but they are a rarity.

Regardless, Rose's shooting woes should end soon, assuming that his sights return to normal. And the best that the Bulls and the fans can do right now is hope that everything does settle down as planned.

But aside from the shooting, Rose has been doing his playmaking chores with gusto. Head coach Fred Hoiberg and Jimmy Butler did admit that they are a very different team with Rose on the floor, so that could very well be a positive said outside the shooting woes.

The Bulls need some added firepower right now, and Rose is trying his best. He is shooting blind but at least he does not force the issue which could end up hurting the Bulls even more.

Rose is patient about the whole thing and believes all will fall into place at some point. And as far as the Bulls are concerned, it is all pretty much touch and go until their star player's vision returns to normal.
