Rick (Nathan Fillion) will find himself at the mercy of a sadistic criminal in the upcoming episode of the ABC series "Castle."

In "The Blame Game," CarterMatt reports that the novelist-turned-investigator has been abducted with three more individuals, and they will be forced "to solve deranged puzzles and mind games." Kate (Stana Katic) and the New York Police Department 12th Precinct must find a way to locate the missing people and capture their tormentor at the same time. This will be no easy work for the female detective, as she and her team will pit against a very smart and dangerous criminal. Will she be able to get to her husband before it's too late?

The promo for the episode shows Rick waking up in what looks like a kindergarten classroom. The scene cuts to him telling someone that they have been drugged since they cannot remember how they got there. Viewers get a glimpse of a cypher, where the correct password to open it is "play or die." Rick is also mentioning something about seeing three bullets and four people. This indicates that only one will be able to get out of there alive. The last thing shown is a hand putting the ammunition in a gun and then slowly readying the weapon while stalking somebody.

At one point, Kate is seen inside the same classroom. The alphabet on the wall can clearly be perceived. She is telling her men that they cannot trust anything in that place. From the looks of things, Kate is able to track down Rick's location. What they will discover in the place, however, evidently rattles them. Will Kate find Rick in the maze-like school? Why is Rick chosen to play such a deadly game? Who is behind the kidnapping?

"Castle" season 8 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
