The biggest stage in the National Football League (NFL) is set and Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis would not miss it for the world, vowing to play in the Super Bowl despite having a broken right forearm.

Carolina topped the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday in the National Football Conference (NFC) Championship Game to book a ticket to Super Bowl 50.

Unfortunately for Davis, he injured the forearm going for a tackle in the first half and never saw action again during the game, ESPN reported.

There is no significant information released regarding Davis' injury but on an Instagram post from his wife last Monday, it seems like the former Georgia Bulldog is set to undergo surgery.

The Super Bowl is less than two weeks away and will be held at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 7.

It is uncertain if Thomas heals before the Super Bowl and be ready to play during the championship game, but he promised that he would not miss it.

"I ain't missing the Super Bowl. You better believe that," Davis stated, according to ESPN.

The 32-year-old also said, "The early prognosis is it's broken. We'll get it figured out, and I'll be ready in two weeks."

If ever Davis is cleared to play, it will be his first Super Bowl since getting selected 14th overall by Carolina in the 2005 NFL Draft.

This season, Davis also played a full regular season and had 105 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

Because of the injury, it is likely that Davis is not participating in the 2016 Pro Bowl at the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Jan. 31.

The selection to the Pro Bowl is the first in Davis' career but the injury might hinder him from playing in the exhibition game.

Instead of seeing action in the Pro Bowl, Davis is expected to rest ahead of the Super Bowl to put himself in playing condition once they take on the Denver Broncos.
