Cambridge University Press releases new flipback Bible

The KJV Transetto Edition is a brand new edition of the King James Bible based on a revolutionary new book concept.

It is the very first book in the UK to be printed using the new ‘flipback’ format invented by Dutch Bible binders.

The books are small enough to hold in one hand thanks to the landscape format of the pages.

Instead of conventional left and right pages, the text in the Transetto Bible is rotated crosswise through 90 degrees, meaning that when the book is open, the two pages on view form a single portrait-format ‘page’.

The Bible text is set in two columns, allowing the reader to easily follow the text downwards across both open pages.

Its compactness is helped all the more by the use of lightweight India paper, and careful sewing helps the pages to stay open.

The KJV Transetto Edition is available in three colours – purple, green and blue – and is priced £15.99.
