The upcoming military first-person shooter video game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has just recently concluded its first open beta testing phase over the weekend.

Now, the game's publisher — Activision — has announced that it will be opening its second weekend beta test to all PlayStation 4 owners, even to those who have not pre-ordered the game.

The game's first beta was apparently a successful one as Activision mentioned that they actually got what they wanted out of the first beta test. The test has apparently allowed them to properly calibrate and stress test their multiplayer servers.

Infinity Ward's lead multiplayer designer — Joe Cecot — shared updates for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" at a blog post on Activision's website.

"The feedback and player data is exactly what we need in order to make our day one experience on November 4 the best it can be in the final game. We are constantly fine tuning and balancing the MP experience to meet player expectations and our design goals, so huge thanks from all of us at the studio."

For the second beta test, all players who have a PlayStation 4 gaming system will be able to participate, regardless of whether or not they had pre-ordered "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

Those on the Xbox One console can also join in the beta test, but for this console, the second beta test is only open to those who had pre-ordered the game.

Activision also announced that the beta is now available for download on the PlayStation Store for those who want to install it on their systems ahead of time. The second beta weekend test will officially start on Friday, Oct. 21, and will conclude on Monday, Oct. 24.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is scheduled to be released next month on Friday, Nov. 4, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and for Windows PC.
