Boxing rumors 2015: Is it time for Wladimir Klitschko to change trainers?

Evander Holyfield is, without question, one of the more respectable heavyweight fighters in the world of boxing to date, and he knows when it is time to make some changes, no matter how hard it is.

For someone who holds the distinction of being the only four-time world heavyweight champion, his advice will surely come in handy.

He has, apparently, kept himself up to date with the latest developments in the ring, particularly the heavyweight division. And like most, he was witness to that Tyson Fury's win over Wladimir Klitschko.

Holyfield believes that Klitschko may need some changes from within his camp. He singles out the need to add some beef to his crew since he believes that the absence of an experienced and respected person on his end is evident.

It seems that Holyfield is referring to Jonathon Banks, a 33-year-old former active fighter who took over the reigns of guiding Klitschko since the passing of Emmanuel Steward. Steward passed away in 2012 due to colon cancer.

"You need someone in the corner that you respect. Otherwise you won't listen to your coach and [you won't] get the best out of yourself. Klitschko's last trainer, Emanuel Steward, [fighters respected him] - but this does not apply to every trainer. I would suggest that he include Freddie Roach [in his corner]," says Holyfied via BoxingScene.com

Roach is, of course, someone who is respectable, but it doesn't really follow that he is the guy Holyfield believes can turn Klitschko's career around. It may be just one loss, but the fact is that he will be getting a rematch in 2016.

Klitschko can choose to listen (or not) to Holyfield but may want to ask himself the question thrown by Holyfield. Klitschko is set to turn 40 by March 2016 and he isn't getting any younger and could be winding down his career.

An addition of an experienced ring tactician could help, but the final word on that will, of course, remain at the hands of the Ukrainian pug.
