Boxing news 2015: Gennady Golovkin manager unsure if Billy Joe Saunders wants to fight

Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin is looking to fight this April and if negotiations end up positively, he could be facing World Boxing Organization (WBO) middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders.

Saunders is fresh from winning the title from Andy Lee and such has, apparently, drawn the interest of the Kazakh boxer and camp. With the World Boxing Council (WBC) allowing Golovkin and Saúl "Canelo" Alvarez one voluntary fight before finalizing negotiations for a possible mega fight in late 2016, Golovkin seems keen on making Saunders that guy.

Unfortunately, his manager, Oleg Hermann, feels that Saunders and company are not taking their offer seriously.

Hermann has lamented the inconsistencies from Saunders and company.

That includes initially saying that he (Saunders) is 18 months ready for a fight with Golovkin. Not long after, the Briton suddenly comes out to say that he was ready to fight Triple G now.

Yet again, a new development comes out with Saunders saying that any fight involving him and Golovkin will ultimately be up to his managing team.

With the frequent changes in stance, it seems understandable why Hermann has been frustrated by such, thus leading him to conclude that Saunders and promoter Frank Warren are not taking them seriously.

Herman bares as well via BoxingScene.com that Warren is unable to give them something definite, reasoning out that Saunders is still on vacation and that they are waiting for the boxer to return from his break.

Right now, it could be an issue of impatience for Hermann or Warren delaying things to see how a Golovkin vs. Saunders fight would turn out.

Golovkin is someone whom Saunders needs to study properly unless he intends to be another one of Triple G's knockout (KO) victims.

Right now, Hermann could opt to move on if he and company cannot wait on Warren and Saunders. There are other names they can consider such as Tureano Johnson, the International Boxing Federation (IBF) mandatory challenger.

There are other names reportedly in consideration, but the obvious fighter they want is Saunders if he shows some sign that he is indeed interested.
