With the L.A. Lakers rumored to be trying their utmost to have Nick Young traded off in this off-season, a lot of rumors are pointing out that their rivals, the Boston Celtics, will most likely get this veteran guard.

According to the Ecumenical News, the last NBA season was not kind to Young. After all, he lost some of his original value to the Lakers after Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams got the majority of game time as the shooting guard, which certainly took some of Young's shine as a player. Regardless, this might be the most likely reason why the Lakers are keen to have him traded.

With this, rumors started flying that the Celtics might want to look for a deal to obtain Young for their team. Actually, this potential trade is considered to be very advantageous to the team, especially in terms of financial savings, as this move could possibly save them approximately $800,000 in their salary cap to be used in the future. Aside from that, Young can also make a large impact for the team's performance, which they are certainly looking for to boost their performance on the upcoming season.

With this, Chatt Sports Net says that the best deal for the Celtics is to trade Young for the shooting guards James Young and RJ Hunter in order to achieve the most economical benefits from it. This is regardless of the fact that his last season with the Lakers gave him the lowest statistics he ever had in his nine-year career in the NBA, with an average of 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and an accuracy of 33.9 percent from the field with around 19.1 minutes per game.

However, this switch might not be likely, as the Celtics might as well go with NBA Stars instead if they ever go for a deal that could help them contend in the Eastern Conference.
