The Boston Celtics, according to the latest NBA trade rumors, seem to be done with their selection of players to help them dominate the upcoming season.

According to Mobile & Apps, Austin Ainge, the director of player personnel for the Celtics, recently said that the team wanted to get some more players, but since the trade costs might be too much, they decided against it and passed up on some trades. He even went so far as to say that they were just trying to make the decisions to the best of their team's ability and that fans who see the price of some major stars they were trying to get will know that their decision was wise.

He said that the only player fit for the team's criteria of possessing an excellent set of talents while having a low cap space is Jaylen Brown. With this, instead of opting for a trade, the management went with the draft pick option.

Ainge added via the Celtics Blog that they have to look for a player of great talents, similar to Jimmy Butler, should they decide to get an upgrade with a new player. This is a difficult situation, since it is quite a feat to find someone who can do a perfect on-court defensive combination comparable to that of Butler.

He also said that in his opinion, the perfect team will be composed of Isaiah Thomas, Jae Cowder, Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley. Ainge even boasts that this team has the capability to take on and triumph against any other team in the NBA. This might be an overstatement, but a lot of fans are excited to see whether or not it is the case.

The Boston Celtics has been linked to a lot of trade rumors, but right now they are firm in their stance of giving younger players a chance to prove their worth through their team.
