Cam (Tamara Taylor) finally loosens up and allows nature take its course in her budding romance with Sebastian Kohl (guest star Gil Darnell).
In "The Cowboy in the Contest," CarterMatt reports that the Head of the Forensic Division at Jeffersonian Institute is ready to take her relationship with the hot photographer to the next level. She previously thought that Sebastian was interested in Angela (Michaela Conlin), who has been training under him to improve her photography skills. When she found out he was really interested in her, she did not acknowledge it right away. This time, though, it actually looks like she is ready to open her doors to a potential romance with him.
Meanwhile, the Jeffersonian will once again be involved in a murder case. This time, Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) will be forced to go undercover to get to the bottom of the incident. The synopsis reveals that they will participate in a shooting competition. Elsewhere, Angela and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will have some serious discussion regarding their family. Are they experiencing any marital problems?
Last episode, the murder of a popular political reporter sent the team on high alert. Before her death, she was working on an exposé regarding National Security Agency's (NSA) unconventional surveillance procedures. Her source was a shadowy figure known as "The American." Vivian was found dead in a golf club, but the investigation led to an inn catering to the Washington elite. There, they found out that the reporter's ex-husband manhandled her before her death.
When they reach the husband, he denied that he killed her. He did admit that he was furious with her for having an affair. Although he did not see the face, he described the man she was meeting with as a guy with "nice shoes." Her "boyfriend" was Ryan Gill (Callard Harris), an NSA agent who was involved in the investigation. They did not have a relationship, however, as he was actually "The American." It turned out the reporter got greedy and wanted to expose other classified information about the NSA to further her career. Gill killed her to silence her.
