In a couple of days, the much awaited BlackBerry Priv Android smartphone could very well be out for those who placed pre-orders via the BlackBerry website.

BlackBerry offered the said device to customers with a starting non-contract price of $699 and the pre-ordered Blackberry Priv units will reportedly be released on Nov. 6.

Those who are planning to get one via leading mobile carriers may have to wait a bit longer.

According to reports, the GSM-based phone carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile will be the first ones to offer the BlackBerry Priv ahead of the CDMA-based ones. Word has it that the device will be out through CDMA-based mobile service providers most likely by 2016.

Hence, folks who are planning to get a Blackberry Priv via CDMA-based carriers like Sprint or Verizon may have to wait a bit longer for the device to be offered.

Of the two aforementioned mobile carriers, however, Verizon could be the one closer to offering the said device. That is if a leaked photo from known tech industry tipster Evan Blass, who uses the Twitter handle @evleaks, is to be believed.

Then again, an image alone could be far from convincing anyone that the Blackberry Priv will be released soon by Verizon. Hence, consider this up for debate for the meantime.

For those who are unaware, the BlackBerry Priv will sport a 5.4-inch dual-curved screen and 32 GB of internal storage. It is something that will rely on a 3,410 mAh battery that will keep the phone juiced up for about 22.5 hours. The device will also have a slide out keyboard, which could appease the ones who are not exactly fans of touch screen technology.

Could Verizon be offering the first CDMA-based version of the BlackBerry Priv soon?
