Bishop T.D. Jakes' daughter Sarah believes Lucifer created Snapchat; messaging app has both angel and devil filters

A lot of people love the fun messaging app Snapchat, which is known for its photo and video filters featuring dog tongues and floral wreaths, among many other things.

But Bishop T.D. Jakes' daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, is not a fan. In fact, she even suspects that evil forces are at work behind the app.

"Some of these filters are leading me to believe that Lucifer is SnapChat's app developer....ijs...think about it," Roberts writes on her Twitter account (@SJakesRoberts).

Someone commented on her post, "Girl... I can't even figure out how to use it in a basic way. Clueless [about] filters. Thanks for the headsup [though] #over40 lol." Robertson then responded, "There's literally a devil filter on there!"

Snapchat is the creation of Evan Thomas Spiegel, who was raised as a member of the Episcopal Church. He is currently dating Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr.

Meanwhile, an online marketing blog called On The Line Social Media writes that there's also an angel filter, which is what the devil filter transitions into when a person opens his or her mouth.

"The Devil and Angel snapchat lens is the first of its kind. When the lens is initially applied to the camera, the user is portrayed as a demon," the blog states. "Then, when the user opens their mouth they are transformed into an angel. This lens is a representation of the battle between good and evil."

The post adds, "The lens allows users to choose which side they want to be a part of or just mess around switching between the two."

The demon filter darkens the user's face, and the eyes are turned red. Users will even get a pair of horns that are burned at the tips, and there is a fire background to complete the scene in hell. In contrast, the angel filter is set in heaven with white clouds and a pair of blue and white angel wings. There is also a white halo floating above the user's head and bright white light shining down from above.
