Best-selling author Rick Warren reveals title of new book: 'The Hope You Need'

Pastor Rick Warren hopes to finish his third book, already titled 'The Hope You Need' by August this year.

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church has just announced the title of his highly anticipated third book, and it is called "The Hope You Need."

According to The Christian Post, Warren was deeply inspired by the Lord's Prayer, one of the most widely known Christian prayers in the world, while writing his third book, which will teach Christians how to apply the prayer in their daily lives.

"The Lord's Prayer gives us 10 pictures of God; it gives us 10 reasons for hope; it gives us 10 promises to build our lives on; and it gives us 10 steps for renewing our lives and growing," Warren explained.

He started writing "The Hope You Need" around Easter two years ago but stopped after the heartbreaking suicide of his son Matthew. "I decided to put the book on hold," he shared with his congregation. "I was in no shape to write a book. I thought, 'It's not time ... when God wants me to write it'll come along.'"

Warren feels the time to finish writing the book is now, and he is asking people for prayers to help him finish the book this month.

His two previous books, "The Purpose Driven Church" was released in 1995 while "The Purpose Driven Life" was released in 2002. The latter became a worldwide sensation, managing to sell over 30 million copies and earning the distinction of being one of the biggest Christian bestsellers in the world. In fact, it is now one of the most translated books after the Bible.

It has changed many lives, including that of Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao. After reading it, the boxer said he bid his old decadent life goodbye and became a Christian. Pacquiao used to indulge in gambling, women, and drinking, but not anymore.
