The cast of The CW's "Beauty and the Beast" finally returned to work on Tuesday after the show's long season break, signifying the start of the production of the much awaited police procedural series. The members of the cast and the production team announced the news that the camera once again rolled for the show via their respective Twitter accounts.

According to writer Gilliam Horvath, "Hiatus ends today. Filming resumes tomorrow. Which means - best part! - dailies on Wednesday. Love seeing scripts come to life."

Horvath is also one of the most constant sources of updates for the upcoming season. She earlier posted a photo of a script for an episode that she was working on titled "Sins of the Fathers," and claimed that it took most of her time during the Christmas break.

Meanwhile, guest actor Jason Gendrick also expressed his excitement over the filming of the new season. He continuously tweets updates about the production details.

"Day 1 of BATB 2015 commences tomorrow with great love and support from you the BEASTIES the dedicated diehard family! #BATB #no-slowing-Dwn!" the actor said.

He also raved about his respect for the people behind the show, saying: "Next script of BATB has a little bit of everything with everyone!!! The music editor will have a FIELD DAY! Glad to get back to it! #BATB."

"Beauty and the Beast" is one of the most popular series from The CW. It recently won its third People's Choice Award for the Favorite Network Sci-Fi/Fantasy Category, while lead actress Kristin Kreuk won the Favorite Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress award for her role as Catherine in the show.

The romantic police procedural drama ended its second season back in July 7, 2014. The third season, to be released sometime this year, will reportedly dwell on the romantic relationship between Catherine and Vincent, played by Jay Ryan, as revealed by the show's executive producer Brad Kern.
