With much hype surrounding this Sunday's Battleground 2016, one of WWE's biggest PPV events of the year fresh from the drafts, there are many predictions on the internet with regard to possible match outcomes and what it would mean for future storylines of both WWE Smackdown and WWE Raw.

With the recent conclusion of the drafts, it is expected that Batleground would feature many shekeups that would also support storylines that would promote another big event SummerSlam 2016.

In a report by The Sporty Maverick, it predicted that Randy Orton's appearance in the promo long with Chris Jericho will be used as a opportunity to promote Orton as a baby Face, after years of portraying a heel. The site also predicts that he will use his signature RKO on Chris Jericho himself.

A win for John Cena, Enzo Amore and Big Cass is also expected against The Club, especially after Cena lost to AJ Styles at Money in the Bank. A win for Cena and his crew would be a great springboard to sell a rematch between himself and Styles.

The outcome in the match between Intercontinental Champ The Miz and Darren Young may result in a win by typical cheating by the The Miz, who has retained his title mainly due to his machinations, theorized IBTimes. The Miz is a clearly effective heel who thrives on the fans distrust and this may also come in handy to set up a comeuppance in SummerSlam.

Another thing that fans are watching out for is who Sasha's mystery partner will be against the duo of Charlotte and Dana Brooke. Fansided believes the partner is actually Bayley and that she will help Sasha secure the win. The Bleacher Report thinks that its actually Carmella who will be the mystery partner and this will be her opportunity to cement her spot as a babyface.

As for Becky Lynch vs Natalya, it is expected that she will score the win since she will be the strongest female superstar left on Smackdown.

As for the Wyatt Brothers, while it is expected that they end up with a win, Battleground 2016 may feature a brand split within the famous wrestling family.

Rusev is also expected to retain his belt against Zack Ryder.
