Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that the much-awaited interim patch for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" will be ready in the next few weeks.
"Batman: Arkham Knight" was released this year with much fanfare. However, fans immediately posted some issue concerns hours after the title rolled out. The complaints, particularly for the PC version, built up and got into high numbers that online game retailers like Steam pulled out the title from their listings. In addition, the publisher itself asked retailers to pull out "Batman: Arkham Knight" off the shelves while WB Interactive and developer Rocksteady Studios patch up the problems.
Concerns and glitches with the title that players found include graphics bugs, framerate freezes, and in some cases, game crashes.
In announcing the upcoming patch on their official community page, Warner Bros. Interactive also posted the improvements and changes that players may expect with the update. Finalizing the remedy for the myriad of graphics concerns for the PC version, the upcoming update will optimize the system memory and VRAM usage for the PC, reduce the frame rate hitches while playing the game, and introduce improved performances for all GPUs with the latest drivers.
In addition to addressing the glitches and bugs, the upcoming patch will also change the in-game Settings, making it more personalized and adding more controls for the players to tweak. New setting features include selections for max fps, mouse sensitivity slider, a VRAM usage meter, and toggles for different viewing options.
Aside from the improvements and addressing the glitches, Warner Bros. Interactive also mentioned that the developers are also working on other aspects of the game, such as making new DLC and Season Pass content, and improving on additional updates.
