With very little information available about the storyline of "Avengers: Infinity War," the only thing fans know for now is the fact that the Avengers will be dealing with Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Everything seems to be a possibility in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Among the recent buzz to hit the rumor mills is a possible encounter between Ant-Man's Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in the latest ensemble superhero installment.
In an interview, Douglas did not discount the possibility given the fluidity of character movement in the huge Marvel franchise.
"One of the joys of being in the Marvel family is they find ways of transitioning your character into other Marvel films, so hopefully there will be a moment in the future where Jeremy and I have the chance to be in the same Marvel film together. The Marvel family is pretty extraordinary. They have made 18 films and every one of them has been successful, which is an extraordinary accomplishment. I don't think any other studio has had the same degree of success," shared Douglas.
While Renner is privy to more details, he wisely kept them close to his chest and declined to confirm or deny the rumors. The actor portraying Hawkeye shared that he is very excited to take part in Avengers 3 and 4. He also revealed that the cast for both movies will be massive, and that the plot of both movies will be unpredictable. Renner joked that he can't say anything because he "might get hurt," and he added that divulging plot points is something very much above their pay grade. The actor is thankful to be a part of the Marvel family, where everyone can "go to work when you are called and you know it is going to be great."
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Marvel is casting for actors to play the people of T'Challa's African Wakanda homeland for the "Black Panther" movie.
Casting is also open for "Avengers: Infinity War," which will begin shooting in Atlanta in 2017, BizJournals reported.
