Days after "Avengers: Age of Ultron" blasted into theaters, fans now look far ahead into the future of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes that will all pan out in the "Avengers: Infinity War" movies, which will be out three years from now.
The saga is divided into two parts and Captain America himself revealed that his interplanetary adventures with the stellar team will be filmed back-to-back — after "Captain America: Civil War" wraps up, of course. This means that actor Chris Evans' schedule until 2019 is very much occupied.
"We start [Captain America: Civil War] in a couple weeks and then that shoots until August or something like that," the 33-year-old actor recently told Esquire. "Then I've got some downtime and I can do with it as I please ... and then we start the Infinity War, I think, sometime in the third quarter — fall or winter of 2016. That's going to be like nine months to shoot both movies back-to-back."
The actor adds that he will have to find something to get busy with during his downtime, either by pursuing "another directing job or a movie to act in" or just "wait and relax" as he prepares for his demanding commitment.
It looks like it won't be that hard for Evans to film "Captain America" and go on with "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 and Part 2 as he will be working with a familiar pair of creatives on the director's seat: Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier."
Marvel scriptwriting veterans Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are tasked to write the screenplay for both "Avengers: Infinity War" movies. The only piece missing in the puzzle is the rest of the cast members joining the Cap in battling the next cosmic baddie on the scene — the alien warlord Thanos.
"Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 and Part 2 will be shown in 2018 and 2019, respectively. "Captain America" fans will see the mighty soldier in action on May 6, 2016.
