As fans wait eagerly for the second season of the anime adaptation, hardcore players are also waiting anxiously for a new "Attack on Titan" game. Although "Attack on Titan" is only a working title and may be published under a different name, the upcoming title will be true to its core plot – humanity against a common enemy, a giant race known as Titans.

Meanwhile, although publisher Koei Tecmo is still keeping official details under wraps, the company did release a new trailer for the game. While the footage shows some gameplay that fans of the series will be familiar with, the footage teased when fans can expect the new "Attack on Titan" game adaptation, as the trailer lists a release window of February next year. The game will be released for the PlayStation 4, PS3, and PS Vita. However, the release date is only for Japanese gamers.

Gamespot mentioned that while Koei Tecmo has not mentioned any confirmed details about a release in Western shores, fans may expect the "Attack on Titan" outside of Japan as the publisher released an English trailer earlier this month. In addition, the "Attack on Titan" franchise is a global release, its manga and anime adaptations enjoying a huge following worldwide.

According to Gematsu, the new "Attack on Titan" game will cover the second chapter of the original manga series, and chronologically, the story will take place just before the walls of the Trost District were destroyed by the Colossal Titan. In the game, members of the Survey Corps will undertake missions to recapture Wall Maria, which was overtaken by Titans five years before the events took place.

The new "Attack on Titan" game will feature Levi Ackerman, one of the most favorite characters in the game, as he leads the Trainee Corps on missions inside and outside of the city walls.
