Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) will play a large role in the resurrection of her sister Sara (Caity Lotz) in the upcoming installment of The CW series "Arrow."

Entertainment Weekly reports that Black Canary's choices will ultimately decide the fate of Sara in season 4. In an interview, executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that bringing Sara back to life will be tedious and emotional for all the characters, especially for Laurel.

"Sara's resurrection very much comes about because of decisions that Laurel makes and choices that Laurel will then have to live with ... The episodes dealing with Sara's return are amongst probably the heaviest material that we've had for Laurel," Guggenheim shared.

The executive producer said that the series will be using this storyline to "get underneath" Laurel as a person. He also admitted that this gave them a chance to explore her connections with both Thea (Willa Holland) and Oliver (Stephen Amell).

Meanwhile, also tied to the resurrection of Sara as the White Canary is the arrival of Constantine (Matt Ryan). News of the guest star's appearance in the series has caused major excitement from fans, as they continue to guess what the actor could bring to Oliver's world.

In an interview with Superhero Hype, Guggenheim said that Ryan's character will fit right into the "Arrow" universe. Although the actor will only be seen in one episode, his chemistry with Amell is reportedly very natural and effortless.

"It never feels forced, it feels right. It's as if these guys had been working together forever. I think people are really going to love the episode. I can't wait for people to see that episode, if you thought it was a thrill just to see that one shot of Matt in the trailer wait until you see a whole episode with him," the executive producer said.

"Arrow" Season 4 will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
