Apple Watch and iPhone bundle: $50 discount

For a limited time and select regions, folks who want to get hold of an Apple Watch (or Apple Watch Sport) but have been unable to get a chance to buy one due to pricing concerns could get a chance to avail of a rare price off from Apple.

It seems that from Oct. 30 until Nov. 15, Apple is offering a special bundle deal which could entice customers to buy an iPhone (any model) and an Apple Watch as well. Buyers availing the bundling offer would be getting a big $50 off the combined original price of the products.

The deal would cover most Apple Watches except for the Hermes models.

The promo can only be availed via participating outlets in California and Massachusetts. This would include Burlingame, Chestnut Street, Corte Madera, Hillsdale, San Francisco, and Stonestown in the Bay Area, as well as Boylston Street, Burlington, CambridgeSide, and Chestnut Hill in the Boston metro area.

The deal cannot be availed online, meaning prospective buyers have to get up from that seat and head on over to the nearest Apple store to get one. Take note as well that the deal is only valid when the iPhone and the qualified Apple Watch tied up with the promo is availed of in a single transaction.

Though the deal does come as a surprise, the best bet is that Apple may be trying to spur up sales for its Apple Watch niche, although it has already reportedly racked in over a billion in revenue for the third quarter alone.

Other than that it could be to raise some more awareness on the benefits that the Apple Watch brings alongside the iPhone. Seeing how the iPhone has been selling in droves, packaging it with an Apple Watch can obviously rack in more sales for the Cupertino company.
