The new Android Marshmallow update is already available for Google's own Nexus lineup. Meanwhile, other mobile device manufacturers like LG and HTC are also saying that they have already started rolling out the new Android 6.0 update to their own flagships.

With these developments, fans are wondering when another giant tech manufacturer, Samsung, will be rolling out its Android 6.0 version to its flagship lineups, particularly the most recent additions.

According to Australia Network News, Samsung device owners can look forward to an Android 6.0 update soon. The South Korean company has been quoted as stating that this year's update will come sooner than last year's platform release. This means that flagship products like the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, as well as the Note 5 and Note Edge devices may expect the new platform before the year ends. Latinos Post says an Android Marshmallow update could happen this month for the Galaxy S5.

In addition, Samsung is expected to release the update sooner, as other competitors are already starting their own Marshmallow updates. Aside from the HTC One A9, the HTC One M8 Google Play edition has already rolled out its Android 6.0 update. Meanwhile, HTC fans expect that the new platform will immediately follow after other HTC flagships. LG Electronics, too, has started the Android 6.0 rollout, and the LG G4 has been reported to have already started its OTA notifications for the South Korean market, with users in other markets to follow.

Mobile carrier-wise, NeuroGadget reports that Verizon will start to test its own Android 6.0 update for the Galaxy Note 4 this month. The website also mentions that as Samsung itself has started the testing phases late this year, it can be expected that all the Samsung flagships will not be able to meet a 2015 update to Android M. However, the company expects most, if not all of its products, to be donning the new Android 6.0 version by Q1 or Q2 of 2016.
