Outside of Google-run Nexus devices, tech manufacturers are still waiting for the Android Marshmallow update to roll out to their product lineups. The latest to join the bandwagon in listing their products for an Android update are Lenovo and Huawei, both of which have current flagship smartphones and tablets running on Google's mobile OS.

According to The Droid Review, an Android 6.0 update for next year is waiting for the Vibe series of products like the S1 and P1, as well as the A7000 and A7000 Plus. The K3 Note is also expected to switch to Android 6.0.

However, Lenovo owners would need to wait a little bit longer as it was listed that the update will roll out in the middle of next year, with June at the earliest. The two A-series products, meanwhile, were listed as having a September 2016 upgrade date.

In addition, conspicuously absent is a Lenovo flagship, the Vibe Z2 Pro. Observers guess that Lenovo will add some more products that are slated to receive the Android 6.0 update.

Meanwhile, China-based Huawei is also making sure that it is next in line to receive the Android Marshmallow update. In a report by IBTimes, Huawei announced via a tweet that the company plans to update its Honor lineups to the new Android platform by February next year. Included in the list of devices set to receive the new Android 6.0 are the 4C, 4X, Honor 6, 6 Plus, and Honor 7 devices. In addition, it was also reported that other products in the Huawei lineup such as some of the newer Ascend and Ascend Mate products, as well as the MediaPad X2.

Marshmallow is the newest version for the Android platform. However, outside of the Google-run Nexus lineup, including the new Nexus 5X and 6P flagships, only HTC's One A9 has the new Android 6.0 right out of the box.
