Android 4.4.3 Kitkat for Nexus 5, 7, 10 delayed- Android 4.5 Lollipop may come first?

It seemed that Google fans may have to wait longer for the roll out of Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS, according to the latest report.

Android Geeks reported that a source told the tech news website that the update will be delayed again. It was initially reported that the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update will be coming to Nexus 5, 4, 7 and 10 on May 23.

Reports said that Google will release the update by the end of this month to the Nexus devices first, before quickly rolling out the update to its Google Play Edition devices. It was reported that the changelog of the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS will include some changes and fixes to the bugs found in the 4.4.2 Kitkat OS.

In addition, Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS may alter the look of the navigation buttons. The report cited TechIT and stated that "the navigation button, back, recent tasks, and home buttons will be redesigned, and that the home button might sometimes be replaced by a new "center" button." The source also revealed that the Android 4.4.3 update is being dogfooded internally, which means that Google will roll out the update soon to Android-based devices.

Aside from the 4.4.3 version of Android Kitkat OS, Google is also working on an entirely new software dubbed as Android 4.5 Lollipop, which is set to be released at Google's I/O Conference next month.

Android 4.4 Kitkat OS was first released in November 2013 and delivered a smoother and more stable performance. There were very little complaints on the OS. The search engine giant released two updates that aimed to address the issues and bugs needed to be fixed. However, users complained about camera and battery issues when they installed the current 4.4.2 version of Android Kitkat OS. It was rumored that the 4.4.3 version will bring a total of 36 bug fixes to Android devices.

Google still has not announced whether it will release the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS update soon or will just wait and introduce the 4.5 Lollipop in June.
