The cast of Ryan Murphy's upcoming trial drama "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" is finally rounding up its cast. Several key roles were recently filled by "Furious" franchise star Jordana Brewster and FX alum Kenneth Choi.

Entertainment Weekly recently reported that Brewster will portray the role of Denise Brown, the sister of OJ Simpson's wife Nicole. This will mark the return of one of the core actors from the "Furious" franchise on TV. Brewster appeared in the reboot of "Dallas" before it was cancelled in 2014.

Meanwhile, "Captain America" and "Sons of Anarchy" star Kenneth Choi will portray the role of the legendary Judge Lance Ito, who let the media enter his courtroom during the highly publicized murder trial against the former American football player who was accused of murdering his wife and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.

The 10-part miniseries is loosely adapted from Jeffrey Toobin's "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson." The official synopsis for the series reads:

"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson' is a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD's history with the city's African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt."

Other cast members of FX's new true crime series include Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ Simpson, David Schwimmer as Simpson's lawyer and friend Robert Kardashian, John Travolta as defense lawyer Robert Shapiro, Courtney B. Vance as the other defense lawyer Johnny Cochran, Connie Britton as Faye Resnick, and Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark.

The series will begin filming on location in Los Angeles, California soon, and it will premiere sometime in 2016.
