Ward (Brett Dalton) will return to power in season 3B of the hit ABC series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The mysterious Inhuman who possessed him back in Maveth will make sure of it; but how will Agent Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) feel when they finally come face to face, knowing that the alien inside him once controlled Will (Dillon Casey)?

Simmons fell in love with the NASA scientist while they were trapped on the alien planet. With her hopes of ever returning to her home on Earth and S.H.I.E.L.D. slowly disintegrating as the weeks passed, she found solace in Will. They remained together until Simmons got sent back to Earth alone. Will stayed and eventually died, and Simmons was left feeling lonely and guilty.

She has Agent Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) to support her, while Will spent his last days in isolation, albeit under the control of the powerful Inhuman. With Ward resurrected and now being possessed by the same creature, Simmons will find that he will have some odd similarities with the Will that she fell in love with. The alien has retained some memories of its two hosts, Will and Ward. Will she feel the same attraction toward the villain, just like she did with Will?

In his interview with TV Insider, Dalton explained his all-new character.

"The idea with this new iteration is it's a collection of a lot of different memories of all the different hosts that have come before Ward. So, of course, there's still some Ward there, but it's 'Ward and' rather than 'Ward but.' It's kind of 'Ward and Will' and Ward and the Host before Will'," he shared.

Meanwhile, Ward's minion, Kebo (Daz Crawford) may also return in season 3B. The last time he was seen, the character was dying in the hands of Bobbi (Adrianne Palicki). The actor hinted to Express UK that Kebo might not be dead. He said that he would gladly return to the hit ABC series because it was a joy working with the cast and crew.

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3 will return on March 8 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
