There's a rumor going around that Ian Somerhalder is following Nina Dobrev out of Mystic Falls soon. There are reports that the actor, who plays Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries," will be exiting the show.

According to IB Times, not only does Somerhalder apparently miss his former co-star slash ex-girlfriend on set, the actor reportedly feels like the cast members are ganging up on him because they prefer Dobrev around instead of him.

While there is no confirmation of these reports, his problem about missing Dobrev's presence, should it be true, on set can actually be dampened. When "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 returns, Leslie-Anne Huff will debut as vicious vampire hunter Rayna, the latest baddie in town.

Media outlets can't help but notice Huff's striking resemblance to Dobrev, making them wonder whether or not her storyline in the series has to do with Dobrev's character Elena Gilbert, who was cursed to a lifetime of slumber.

Before more outrageous speculations come out, "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Caroline Dries clarified that the latest cast member of the hit supernatural series virtually being a doppelganger of Dobrev is "definitely just a coincidence."

"I actually haven't met her yet in person, though, and everyone says she doesn't look like her in person," she explained TV Line. "She's a great actress, and she's perfect for the role...We'll get to see her present-day story and then everything will click when you see her in the future," Dries added.

As for Dobrev, the actress spent an early Christmas getaway with her family at the Airbnb rental in Coalville, Utah, where the star and her closest loved ones skied their heart out and stayed at the seven-bedroom Deer Valley mansion with an outdoor Jacuzzi and home theater for $5000 a night.

Apparently, Dobrev is making the most out of the holiday at the mansion. People magazine claims that the actress also prepared a special Christmas dinner for her family and boyfriend Austin Stowell, who was on the trip with them.
