The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie will be released in theaters nationwide on May 2, and fans will have a chance to watch the movie for free.

Gamestop and Sony Entertainment have announced that an undisclosed number of passes will be given to customers to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for free.

In a press release Thursday, Gamestop announced that it will be hosting "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" Day across all locations in the U.S. on April 29.

To celebrate the release of the film, the retail shop will have special giveaways, previews and trade-in promotions.

The press release states: "During this one-day-only event, customers that purchase the game will receive the exclusive "Web Threads Suit Pack" (PS4, PS3, X360, XB1), a DLC pack containing four super-powered suits to be worn by Spider-Man. While in-store, customers will also be treated to exclusive footage from the upcoming film and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video game."

Fans that arrive early to purchase The Amazing Spider-Man 2 game will be given two free movie tickets to watch the film.

The Amazing Spider-Man game will release across all Gamestop stores on April 29 and will be available for the PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Windows PC, and Nintendo 3DS. The game, however, will not be available for the Xbox One.
