Scott and the gang get thirsty for information about the Dread Doctors in "Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 6 titled "Required Reading." With the help of Dr. Valack, who knows a lot about the deadly medics, the pack will discover more about their new foes.

Dr. Valack reveals that the Dread Doctors worship the supernatural. They possess immense power and has the ability to extend their life span, making them extra difficult to exterminate. These baddies can also wipe the memory of an individual who sees them. This is what happened to Scott and the others.

In the upcoming episode, Dr. Valack tells them to read his book to summon back these lost memories. However, there will be "strange effects" in doing so and these may involve flashbacks of painful memories.

In the trailer, Stiles sees his mother who died when he was just a kid. Lydia, on the other hand, is able to recall a moment when the Dread Doctors appeared during her surgery, making her believe that they did something to her.

Executive producer Jeff Davis said that this particular episode "points Lydia in the direction of figuring out what happened to her in the operating room during her surgery and whether or not it was actually a memory or something stranger."

Davis also told The Hollywood Reporter that more about Dr. Valack will be revealed.

"We'll learn more in the second half of season five about how he gains a level of control over Eichen House," the showrunner explained.

The EP also revealed bad news about Scott and Kira's relationship.

"Kira will begin to pull away from Scott and her friends, believing that she may be doing more harm than good," he said in the same THR interview. "This season is all about power going haywire for Kira."

"Teen Wolf" season 5 episode 6, "Required Reading," airs July 27.
