'Spider-Man' reboot spoilers, news: More Marvel characters to join wall-crawler in solo films

Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the "Captain America: Civil War" trailer Marvel Studios

Spider-Man's entrance to the Marvel Cinematic Universe presents loads of amazing possibilities, including more characters in the universe waltzing in and out of the wall-crawler's films. This is exactly what Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will take advantage of in the "Spider-Man" reboot.

"He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth," Feige told Entertainment Weekly, indicating that unlike when the web-slinger was in Sony, the "Spider-Man" reboot will have characters outside of the usual Spider-Man circle.

Not only will Tom Holland's Spider-Man be a guest in Marvel films like "Captain America: Civil War," where he will officially make his entrance to the universe where he truly belongs, but other characters will also pay him a visit.

This brings back to mind the time Robert Downey Jr. aka Iron Man spilled the beans about his and Captain America actor Chris Evans's return to Atlanta to shoot another film after "Captain America: Civil War."

This had many believing that they will be appearing in the "Spider-Man" reboot. Strengthening this rumor is Sony registering a website with the URL SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com, leading fans to believe it will be the reboot's title.

According to media outlets, the title could be in reference to "Homecoming," a Spider-Man storyline (issue #252) released back in 1984 featuring Spidey in his black symbiote suite. This issue featured Evans's and Downey's superheroes. But of course, it could just simply be alluding to the character's arrival in his true home.

Spider-Man will be getting a solo film on July 7 next year but fans will see him in action in "Captain America: Civil War" next month.

According to Screen Crush editor-in-chief Mike Sampson, who was one of the lucky ones who got to watch the film early, Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man was featured in the film for a good half hour – 10 minutes for the young lad and 20 minutes with his mask on.
