'Amazing Spider-Man' movie latest news: Sony and Marvel to collaborate for new film

 The Amazing Spider-Man

Big changes are coming as the web-slinging superhero has been confirmed to return to the silver screen and into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Studios has finally stepped in and collaborated with Sony to reboot the much talked about franchise. With the partnership, fans can just imagine the possibilities.

The fate of Spider-Man has been in the balance ever since plans for a third installment of "The Amazing Spider-Man" from Sony Pictures reached a critical point. But now, the red and blue-clad crime fighter is sure to save the neighborhood in a new film. He could be swinging with other Avengers in the future, too. Speaking of that, Marvel has specified that Peter Parker will make his way into another Marvel film before he ends up starring in his own flick. This movie, as surmised by many, is likely "Captain America: Civil War" scheduled in 2016. After that appearance, it's go time for Spidey.

The new "Spider-Man" film will be "co-produced by Kevin Feige and his expert team at Marvel and Amy Pascal." Sony Pictures will also keep control on the funding, distribution and final creative direction of the "Spider-Man" films.

The solo action for the superhero had Marvel make some adjustments on its chain of massive films in the pipeline. The premiere date for "Thor: Ragnarok," July 28, 2017, has been designated for Spider-Man's return. In turn, the son of Odin and his quest to stop the destruction of Asgard will have to wait until Nov. 3, 2017.

Other predetermined superhero movie releases were rearranged in recognition of the big change. "Black Panther" has been moved to July 6, 2018 and the first appearance of "Captain Marvel" in theaters follows suit and will now be on Nov. 2, 2018. Lastly, "Inhumans" will be out on July 12, 2019.

Just to put everyone's thought about the crazy news — it would not be wrong to relish the fact that Peter Parker can now easily appear and fight crimes alongside superheroes like Iron Man, Thor or even The Hulk. This is the very thing many fans demanded ever since "The Avengers" landed on the big screen.

Now, almost everything is set. The only thing left to ascertain is the actor who will don the Spider-Man costume. The future is dim for Andrew Garfield's return as the superhero. The odds of his third stab at reclaiming the character are low. Quartz believes that the actor was a great Peter Parker and an even better Spider-Man. It's just that he was riveted to a franchise with middling accomplishments.
