Little details about the upcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" have now emerged. Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) story as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will continue as information about the film's production is now revealed.

In a report by Omega Underground, the untitled sequel's filming is set to begin in June 2018 in Atlanta. It is assumed to be completed in the fall or winter of the same year and set to be released in 2019.

No official details about "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" have been released yet, but it is expected to be part of MCU Phase Four's first movie installment after the release of "Avengers 4" in May 2019. The sequel is said to answer the aftermath of Parker's future following the events of the fourth "Avengers" film.

In the sequel, Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon will be reprising their roles as Peter Parker, Michelle Jones, and Ned Leeds, respectively. Fans might also see the return of Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna as the film's screenwriters. Also, Jon Watts is expected to return to his directorial seat.

If this happens, Watts would be the latest Marvel movie director that will return to do a sequel film. To recall, James Gunn now has control of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie franchise. The Russo Brothers, too, have directed two "Captain America" films, aside from the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" and the untitled "Avengers 4."

Watts' return in "Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" has even been intensified by a tweet from Marvelous Realm. Allegedly, the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, announced the director's return to do the movie sequel at the recent Brazil Comic-Con. "Kevin Feige just confirmed in a video displayed in the Marvel Panel at #CCXP17 Jon Watts is the Director of ' Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel,'" the tweet reads.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming 2" is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2019.
