Earlier this year, Vicki Gunvalson revealed that she had broken up with Brooks Ayers. The two had been together for four years, and their relationship was often the cause of Vicki's fights with her daughter, Briana, and even her co-stars on the Bravo show.

This season, Vicki staunchly defended Brooks when the other ladies speculated that he was faking his cancer, and some fans thought that this could be the reason why Vicki ended things with him. But in a new interview, Vicki finally revealed the real cause of the breakup, and his health condition and the rumors surrounding him had nothing to do with it.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live," Vicki confirmed that she and Brooks are over and said that the breakup was a result of "a lot of things."

"I just think the conflict with Briana, and him and I," she told Cohen. She also said that Brooks, who is from the South, really wanted to go back to his hometown.

She also said that filming the reality series took its toll on the relationship and on his health.

"I just think the stress of the show, and he's sick," she said. "At the end of the day, it just didn't work anymore."

For his part, Brooks told E! News that he and Vicki have tried counseling, but it wasn't enough to heal their relationship. He also said that he is dating someone else and that Vicki is seeing someone new too.

But it appears that Vicki is still standing by her ex despite the fact that they have ended their relationship. During "The Real Housewives of Orange County" reunion show, Vicki looked as if she was starting to believe that Brooks has been faking his cancer all along, as some of the ladies said that they have evidence to prove that he was lying. But Brooks told E! News that Vicki still believes that his cancer battle is real.

"Post the reunion, she told me I truly believe everything you have told me and the ladies just backed me into a corner," said Brooks.
