The sci-fi thriller drama "Orphan Black" will be coming to a close when its fifth and final season releases in April 2017. Creators of the series have decided to make the fifth season the final one, but there's still a lot in store for the fans of "Orphan Black" waiting for the finale season.

Series creators John Fawcett and GraemeManson shared in an interview with TNWU at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 that season 5 will be focused on looking back at the previous seasons, connecting and completing the stories of the clones in "Orphan Black." Fawcett and Manson think that season 5 will have little room for a new clone to be added and that they would rather focus on the current clones that are already in the series. They are also planning to reveal big answers that the fans of the show have been waiting. In one of the statements reported by Entertainment Weekly, Fawcett and Manson said, "We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters."

A lot of other information was revealed during the panel of "Orphan Black" at SDCC. Aside from completing the stories of all the clones, Tatiana Maslany, who plays Sarah and her clones in the series, said that a number of characters might die at the final season. Fawcett and Manson added that nothing is set in stone. They are still reviewing the major deaths that will surface in season 5 and they promise to give the best ending for everyone in the series.

There have been speculations that Helena's love interest will be returning at the final season of "Orphan Black." According to IB Times, Helena's love interest Jesse, played by "Suits" star Patrick J. Adams, will be joining the cast for season 5. Rumors of a spin-off series are also being mentioned, but nothing is definite as of the moment.

"Orphan Black" season 5 will be airing in April 2017 on BBC.
