"Once Upon a Time" season 5 is set to bring viewers all the way back to Kansas. Teri Reeves from "Chicago Fire" was tapped to play the role of a grownup Dorothy Gale in the hit series. Fans will recall that the character already appeared on the show.

Back in season 3, a teenage version of Dorothy played by Matreya Scarrwener appeared in an episode called "Kansas." This installment centered on Zelena, who wanted to get rid of Dorothy before she could take her place as the Wicked Witch of the West in the sisterhood.

In "Once Upon a Time" season 5, Zelena will be back in Oz years after and Dorothy is no longer the pig-tailed young girl she was able to trick during their first encounter. Dorothy is said to be depicted as a "brave warrior for good" when Reeves gets her turn to fill the character's shoes.

As fans would remember, Regina zapped Zelena backed to Oz in the midseason finale "Swan Song" after she vowed to make a ruthless and strong wicked witch out of her daughter with Robin Hood. That meant double the trouble and the danger so Regina found it best to transport her.

It is unknown what Zelena and Dorothy's encounter would look like in "Once Upon a Time" season 5 but with Dorothy bolder and stronger than fans last saw her, viewers will find their meeting rather interesting and exciting.

Meanwhile, it is also being said that Zelena's family and her evil plans for and with them will factor hugely in the upcoming season. Her plans to make her daughter exactly like her actually brought Dorothy back into the picture.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will check back in on the Wicked Witch of the West when the second half of the show premieres. In fact, Zelena will be one of the biggest sources of trouble the heroes will have to deal with and Regina and the group may have just found an ally in Dorothy.
