'Mortal Kombat X': Latest gameplay trailer demonstrates Goro's deadly force

Gamers have long known that four-armed Shokan warrior Goro will be part of "Mortal Kombat X" as an add-on, and it is about time NetherRealms showed what the half-man half-dragon can do.

In a new "Mortal Kombat X" gameplay trailer, Johnny Cage is at the receiving end of Goro's fume. In the first showdown, Cage trounces Goro like a bug. Unfortunately, their second showdown does not show the same fate. Goro and all four of his arms can do more than just punch-and-jab combos. The beast ends the match by thrusting his opponent's head onto his chest. How the throwdown leads to that, the gameplay trailer details so richly.

Those who would like to pull off that vicious move in "Mortal Kombat X" have to get the post-launch expansion pack, which, sad to say, still has no release date. Even so, this DLC pack will give access to Goro's three fighting variations.

Goro is made more redoubtable for possessing agility despite his huge build. With the Tigrar Fury variation, Goro can summon flame balls and unleash his deadly dragon breath to slay his opponent.

The brute is also overwhelmingly lethal when he is in his Kuatan Warrior mode. This style gives him powerful ground pound and chest charge, proving that his burly force is enough to bring the opponent down.

Lastly, his Dragon Fangs mode beckons bladed gauntlets that allow him to perform unique attacks and ultimately, to have the arena run red.

"Mortal Kombat X" will blast into the PS4 and Xbox One on April 14. Xbox 360 and PS3 players will get it by summer. The latest iteration of the legendary franchise will also be making its way to mobile devices in the form of a companion app.
