Each month new locker codes for "NBA 2K16' are released as old ones, such as the previously reported locker codes to unlock players or VC, might expire over time. CheatCC has posted several new locker codes, many of which give a random item or currency.

SHOOT2MUCH500  will give the player additional 500 VC while the locker code #2KTVPOSTSEASON will give the player 1,000 VC. The Virtual Currency points can then be used to upgrade players, teams, and purchase additional gear or other unlockable content in the game.

Random items can also be unlocked with the following locker codes: #2KTVMELOGEAR, #AIRCRAFTCARRIER and RA9M5-EQZCF-2EYQQ-IF5AF-UEP51. Entering the locker code PAYRESPECT will unlock a special ABA ball that is colored red, white and blue.

In order to enter the codes a player must simply head over to the main menu, select "Options" and then "Features" and finally "Locker Codes." After entering the right code the game will run a quick verification process and then reward the player with the code's content.

Some codes such as SWEETPOTATO and IWATCHEDNBA2KTV have already expired. Other expired codes include the following:

  • #2KTVHEYGUYS
  • #FIFTYFIFTYNBA2KLEGEND
  • PARKSWAG
  • KEEPTHECHANGE
  • BETTERTHANAGIFTCARD
  • HEYGUYS
  • MYSTERY
  • NewYearNewGear
  • #Ronnie2kChallenge

A separate post from CheatCC also details a quick cheat that allows players to easily farm more VC. The instructions start by heading to MyCareer mode and then setting the difficulty up to "Hall of Fame" with each quarter lasting 12 minutes. Afterwards a game must be simulated to its end in order to gain anywhere from 400 to 800 VC.

The post does point out that the game will state simulated games do not give out VC rewards but it does so long as the simulation reaches the point where the ball has been tipped in. The whole process of doing this to farm VC is reportedly going to take less than two minutes at a time.
