LG G Vista 2 release date and specs: Updated G Vista unveiled

LG G Vista was noted for its super huge screen size that didn't seem to please users because of its low-resolution display and poor performance. It's easy to dismiss the memory of this phone, but its successor may just prove something different this time.

AT&T just introduced a new version of the phone, the G Vista 2, which carries specs that surely shows the big improvements from the first model.

What's likely to be offered from this new phone are much better features compared to the G Vista.

According to Phone Arena, the upcoming LG phone will most likely feature a 1080-pixel HD display instead of the 720p from the previous model. In addition, the phone is expected to run on an octa-core processor to have an improved speed it lacked from the predecessor's quad-core feature.

To make the device a lot faster, it is also anticipated that it will have 2 GB RAM and a 16 GB expandable internal storage.

Other than those mentioned, the G Vista 2 is said to have a brand new stylus, a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 13-megapixel main camera at the back.

This rear camera is said to be equipped with laser autofocus feature.

The news outlet also mentioned that G Vista 2 may run on Android Lollipop with a big possibility of getting a Marshmallow update later on.

The video about the upcoming phone discreetly uploaded on YouTube has since been set to private, but based on reports, G Vista 2 will still have the same design and size as G Vista — the only highlights are the upgraded specs. That means the phone will retain its 5.7-inch screen size.

As for the release date, AT&T did not give out details on the subject and there was also no mention of the price. However, the carrier did tease that the smartphone will come at a "revolutionary" price.
