GeForce Titan XXX OC2: 24 GB of GDDR5 video memory

NVIDIA's original Titan X features 12 GB of GDDR5 video memory, which is ideal for immersing in intensive gaming titles at the 4K resolution. However, according to Kitguru, another GTX Titan X is up for grabs; one that possesses 24 GB of GDDR5 video memory. The website states that popular forum website called OcUK has started advertising custom GTX Titan X GPU made by BFG. It is being called the GeForce Titan XXX OC2 and features a whopping 24576 MB of GDDR5 video memory.

In addition to possessing twice the video frame buffer, the GPU has also been factory overclocked; with the core clock of the graphics processor clocked in at 1268 MHz, along with a GPU Boost clock speed of 1493 MHz. Furthermore, the 24 GB video memory possesses an 8.60 GHz clock speed. The website states that the retail price of the GeForce Titan XXX OC2 is £1666.66 including VAT (which translates in to $2491.53 USD).

The upgraded graphics processor is expected to arrive on April 1, 2015. While the product has been listed on the website, BFG was a former sub-vendor for NVIDIA's GPUs that had to shut down thanks to allocation issues with the company's GeForce GTX 400 series of graphics processors. The company had to shut down all business ventures in 2010, ending an era of one of the most popular sub-vendors that made its own custom editions of graphic cards.

While 24 GB of video frame buffer does sound impressive, NVIDIA's upcoming architecture, called Pascal will allow up to 32 GB of video memory to be placed on graphic cards. While the superiority of the architecture will result in greater performance and energy efficiency, Pascal will also allow PC gamers to adopt a SLI configuration in which 8 GPUs will be performing in unison to provide the best possible performance in future titles. Currently, only a maximum of 4 GPUs can be placed in motherboards.
