Game developer Scott Cawthon continues to release new teasers for the upcoming horror video game, "Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter." His latest teaser image showcases a monochrome Freddy Fazbear animatronic with a purple tie and a second mouth on its tummy.

A report from Design and Trend focuses on the color scheme of the new promotional image. The animatronic is black and white, perhaps to hide its true color, but the tie is clearly purple. The report says that this could be Purple Freddy since it is the only animatronic to sport a purple hat and tie in the series.

However, according to the folks at 8-Bit Gaming, there is a prevalent theory that Purple Freddy and Golden Freddy are one and the same. Golden Freddy is often considered as a hallucination in the games but the theory suggests that Purple Freddy is actually Golden Freddy re-painted to avoid any controversy from Fredbear's Family Diner's customers.

The majority of the game's promotional images center on the question, "Was it me?" and fans of the series have speculated that this is a direct question regarding the "Bite of '87." This is the incident referred to in the first two games wherein one of the animatronics bit a civilian's head, resulting in the loss of their brain's frontal lobe.

While the previous teaser images refer to the "Bite of '87," the latest image also features the words "pro_me" in the bottom mouth of the black and white animatronic. This has yet to be deciphered, but the report from Design and Trend speculates that it could mean "protect me" or "property of me."

Meanwhile, one of the game's biggest Easter eggs is that the "Bite of '87" is said to have occurred on Nov. 13, 1987, which would make it a Friday. "Friday the 13th" is commonly associated with bad luck and it is unknown if Cawthon did this intentionally or if it is sheer coincidence.

The teaser image also confirms that the game's release is set for Oct. 31. The Halloween release is a good play on the horror-genre nature of the game and, as pointed out in a report from Bloody-Disgusting, the subtitle "The Final Chapter" could also be a play on "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter."
