"Counting On" star Joseph Duggar and wife Kendra are expecting their first child.

The couple announced the good news via a video message, which is posted on the Duggar family's blog.

"I've always dreamed of having my own family and it's really just kind of surreal that it's actually here," Joseph says in the clip.

He adds that he thinks it is going to be a boy, but "either way, I'm happy just to have a baby."

Kendra jokingly counters that it could be girl. To this, Joseph answers that he only hopes the baby could have his wife's laugh. "Uh, you're so sweet," Kendra gushes, before adding that she hopes their child would be patient like Joseph.

The 19-year-old soon-to-be-mother also shares the greatest piece of advice she has received so far, which is to get a lot of sleep.

Joseph finishes by adding that they hope to share this journey with their fans through their reality show "Counting On."

Their pregnancy was later followed by another great news. After months of rumors and worries that the show will be canceled due to previous controversies, the Duggar family announced that "Counting On" finally got a renewal from TLC. They should start airing again sometime in spring of 2018.

Joseph and Kendra were married at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on Sept. 8, after a three-month engagement. Joseph proposed to Kendra at her sister Joy-Anna's wedding with Austin Forsyth back in May.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Greece.

In an interview with People at that time, 23-year-old Joseph shared that they are trying to enjoy "every little bit" of their marriage. Meantime, Kendra shared that her favorite part was being able to spend a lot of time with her husband.

"I can hug him, kiss him, talk with and be with him all the time," Kendra told People.
