Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls release to PS4, Xbox One on August 19 priced $59.99; introduces new Crusader class

Gamers are buzzing with excitement after Blizzard announced Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil will be releasing to consoles this August.

The eagerly awaited game and expansion pack are due to land on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 19.

It follows the release of the PC and Mac versions to much excitement back in March.

It'll be retailing at $59.99 for the PS4 and Xbox One and pre-orders are likely to be strong following the positive reaction from PC and Mac gamers.

As an additional incentive, pre-orders will come with an Infernal Pauldrons in-game item for level 1 that boosts health, life generation and cooldown reduction.

PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers will be getting it at the lower price tag of $39.99.

The expansion pack brings 4-player same-screen action and online multiplayer to PS and Xbox gamers.

Blizzard said a new Apprentice mode would also give low-level players greater power to make it easier to game with high-level friends.

Players will also be able to share treasures with other players on their friends lists via an in-game mail system, including mysterious Player Gifts containing rare loot for the adventurer whose name they bear, Blizzard said.

The team of five - Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor and Wizard - will also be getting a new addition in the form of the heavily armored Crusader.  The Crusader's damage reduction perk has been lifted 15% to 30%, bringing it to the same level as the Monk and Barbarian.

There will also be plenty of minion-slaying in a new act that ends with an epic struggle against Malthael, the Angel of Death, while the Adventure Mode strips away much of the story-telling mode and unlocks the waypoints.
