"Naruto" fans are surely going to love the news that "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will soon arrive in U.S. theaters and a premiere date has been announced.

The new movie will premiere in the upcoming New York Comic-Con, as announced earlier this month during the Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California, Design&Trend reported.

Aside from the set premiere date, details on some new characters have been revealed as well.

The movie will focus on Boruto, Naruto's son, as he goes on a journey as a ninja student in Konoha.

His goal is to surpass the many achievements of his father and to achieve that, he works hard to become better as a ninja under the watchful eye of his teacher, Sasuke Uchiha.

According to Venture Capital Post, Boruto will acquire a new skill known as the Lightning Blade from his teacher. It was also reported that the boy will also learn some of the lightning and fire techniques from Sasuke.

Then there's also the introduction of Sarada Uchiha, Sasuke's daughter, who will be on the same team as Boruto. Reports stated that she could either be Boruto's rival or love interest in the upcoming movie.

Moreover, two new villains may also be introduced, according to Movie News Guide. They are Momoshiki and Kinoshiki, both hailing from the Otsutsuki Clan.

This villainous clan aims to steal from Naruto and Kurama and will create trouble for Boruto.

Other characters set to appear in the new movie include Sai, Sakura, Hinata, Rocklee, Shikamaru, Kurotsuchi, Konohamaru, Tsuchikage, Darui Raikage, and Gaara, among many others.

The animated film will debut in Japan on Aug. 7, and it was reported that it will also hit U.S. theaters on Oct. 10, coinciding with Naruto's birthday.
