'Attack on Titan' season 2 release date set for 2016? Plot rumors

"Attack on Titan" is going to continue with the release of it second season. Fans who are waiting impatiently for the anime version of the Japanese manga series to return are optimistic that they will see more of it in 2016. 

During a press conference that revolved around the first "Attack on Titan" animated film, "Attack on Titan Part I: Crimson Bow and Arrow," it was revealed that season 2 of the series could be released during an unannounced month in 2016. In addition to the series, the second "Attack on Titan" animated film called "Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom" will be opened on June 27. 

The two-part film is set during a timeline where humanity is forced to live inside cities that are surrounded by enormous walls. The walls serve as a primary defense against the Titans, which are giant humanoid creatures that possess incredible strength and resilience and are extremely hostile toward human beings. 

Initially, the plot of the series starts with Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their best friend Armin Arlert, who end up joining the military as retribution against the Titans who invaded their homeland and devoured Eren's mother. During the course of the series, new plots are unearthed regarding the origin of the Titans as well as the core objective of the film. 

During the press event of "Attack on Titan Part I: Crimson Bow and Arrow," actors Yuki Kaji, Marino Inoue, and Yui Ishikawa, along with director Tetsuro Araki that the release date of the season is set for 2016, as reported by Latin Times last November. 

The anime has been given significant amounts of praise in Japan as well as in international regions.
